Armortale, project in front of Nightkeep


Hi,

as you might know, I am working on smaller project that I’d like to have as external source of funding for Nightkeep (or at least, if it will do poorly, I’d like to cover existing spending of Nightkeep with it). I named the project Armortale… Well, why such name? I thought of different names like Armoria, Dai Reki, Armor Prince, Armor quest… and such but at the end I picked Armortale.

It is quite simple 8bit project and I just finished saving and loading today also I have story prepared and it will be super simple, yet it will work for this platformer.

Translator (who was behind Nightkeep) won’t be behind this project. so I decided it will be text-less, all scenes will be presented with images or message-less scenes, so I won’t embarrass myself in the game directly.

I am still not sure if I should create own blog for it here on gamejolt as I have often not much to show for this project. Sometimes I work longer shifts during a week like 14 or 16 hours with a bit of luck can happen too (not in my favour, I don’t like such long shifts…).

But on weekends, I always try to find time to move forward with this project a “little” bit forward.

Nightkeep : Character you didn't encounter Hand with a scythe is quite difficult to draw right. A small remake of another character.

Game is being worked on, I keep changelogs so I can track my own progress. I made core systems and now I am working on the game areas + adding missing stuff like chests, etc.
