I'm sure you guys are aware of the Shayy situation, I've made a post at 10 p.m yesterday, right when I found out about everything (spoilers, it's me being really pissed off and dissapointed, not an actual full post)
well, my dissapointment is still present, I know that one individual does not rappresent the whole community but 80% of the Undertale fandom is taking this drama very lightly, wayyy too lightly. Just to remind you guys, this is sexual abuse and grooming we're talking about, and I'm pretty sure a person with a common sense would realize that this is not something you should joke about. Disrespecting Shayy's gender identity would also not help either, it would just add fuel to the fire and increase the discriminations to the LGBT community, so please, disrespecting gender identity just because someone did something awful is not a mature way to act.
It's useless to say that I gave this community way too many chances, the way this fandom handles dramas and toxic people is pure bs. I'm going to take a break from the fandom, at least for a few months, but even so, don't expect me to have my usual positive attitude back. I can't hate Undertale, I just can't, it's a very special game for me, the fandom however has managed to dissapoint me multiple times, no, I'm not gonna compare the 2016 fandom to the modern one because they're both god awful in their own ways between creeps and disrespectful people towards fan projects. I deeply care about Undertale and my OCs (sweet promises), over the time these characters have grown on me, a lot, I do unfortunately have the problem to grow very attached to my own OCs, whater it's Undertale or not. It's not bad on paper, it shows how an artist can treat their creations like their own children, and that's where the bad comes, I hate seeing my UT OCs growing in such an hostile setting that is this fandom, I still want to support these characters, even if it means completely separating them from Undertale. For now, sweet promises is on hiatus, not until I'll come back from my break, then, we'll see what the future offers for these characters.
Thank you for being patient with me, let's hope the future will be better for us
