Hello Ladies and Gents! Boys and girls! Art is back with some updates!
So much has transpired since I had joined Switch Caliber studios. Its crazy to think only months ago we were celebrating our reaching 500 followers on Facebook. Now we are nearing 2000 followers. It’s so awesome that people love this project and have shown their support. I have been scrambling to make milestone artwork for us because of how quickly people are getting involved. That is a GREAT problem to have and I couldn’t be happier. SLOW DOWN I CAN’T DRAW THAT FAST!
Additional to the milestone works, I have been creating promo art for our upcoming conventions. Halloween is my jam, so Jack now has a Halloween skin! I am crazy proud of it, and I can’t wait for its reveal. Stay tuned on our socials.
Along with that I have been re-designing our characters and making character sheets. I wanted to take my time on them and I wanted to design them based on their histories and personalities as well. This makes their designs much more important to conveying who they are and makes them more tangible as people. I love characters that feel genuine and their designs should be just as deep as their personalities too. This is probably the most time-consuming task I have, as I am trying to capture everyone’s vision of the character, as well as putting my own twist on it. It’s been stressful for me, as I am really trying to create an Iconic cast that translates well to pixel art.
On top of all of that I have been coming up with works for the pixel art tiles, to animate them, as well as I have been designing our website. So much to do, so little time. Feeling some serious burn-out lately because of how many things I must pour my mind into. Thankfully, Once I do most of these things, I won’t have to do it again. I am taking care of myself though, which helps majorly, and seeing how the game is progressing keeps me running!
Until next time kiddies, see you at the next convention!
