DREADWALKER Pinned Post (and new changes to devlogs!)


Welcome, all! I am Door to Heaven (call me D2H, for short) - the person behind the whole idea of DREADWALKER and Noirgami. I am here to provide you with a new pinned post, with the previous one being outdated by a lot.

We're starting off with some pointers.


DEVLOG TAGS

At the start of each devlog, a tag will be provided for better understanding.

[DEV] - This post contains development progress, such as showcases of models or gameplay mechanics.

[TEASER] - This post contains a preview of the game, or a scene relating to the story.

[STORY] - This post contains shortly written stories relating to the game or its universe.

[ECHOES] - This post contains a shortly written story, or picture, or riddle to reveal a code for the "Codebreaker" game "Once Upon A Mime" for exclusive teasers and stories.

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

Android port?

The answer as expected, is NO. - Firstly, we use Clickteam Fusion to develop the game. Android exports are not free, as it is DLC and in my own country (Brazil) costs a LOT. Secondly, I think adapting this game to mobile devices would be quite tough. I don't think it would do well on those types of devices, in my opinion.

And currently, there is no demand for a mobile version and I don't think anyone wants to volunteer. But I put this here anyway because of people.

How long can we expect the game to be?

For the main (and only) story mode, about 1 or 2 hour(s) - as usual for any of fan-games of this type. Do not expect a cinematic experience. There are currently 12 floors planned for the game, some of each having a different gameplay style. Others might be fast, while others might be slow. But "100% Completion" is in the talks. (... by only myself.)

I repeat, there is NO "custom night/floor" mode aside from harder modes. We (or I) do not see how it would work in a game of this size - or type.

You switched the art-style! Why?

While I also wanted the game to be in a drawn art-style like Changed's - I had to explain this in a previous post, but I will say it again: Froobina, the original artist behind the thumbnail, Floor 3, and the "Outside" teaser - has had life and medical issues - leading them to leave the studio. While gone, we'll keep them credited.

This however, might change, as they might come back as an artist along with Abry for Noirgami's upcoming ROBLOX TRTF fan-game "LOST VENDETTA" in the future.

Thus, led us to Diamond Raider and Polygremlin for the new visuals from Ray of Light - Jeremy's Torment still in the works. I wanted to give them a chance on something bigger as they deserve recognition.

now that april is ending and the april fools game has been deleted off the page i can say Danderson Manson Connor Anderson/ChinChin was the best DREADWALKER character in its development cycle
