As a game developer, I often enjoy testing out other people's games and think about how they made it.

I recently tried #BanditTrap, and it's so much fun to play with friends! Read my full review in article below

My review of Bandit Trap

Bandit Trap is a explosive, fast paced, chaos filled multiplayer game of cat and mouse... or rather Trapper and Bandit!

I couldn't help feeling like I was Kevin from "Home Alone" using wacky traps to protect the house

One thing that really stands out to me is how polished it feels, from the controls to the graphics.

The game recommends you play with a controller, but I played on keyboard and it felt very smooth.

This game is most fun with friends, but is still enjoyable if you play against bots (I didn't try playing against online players, which is also an option)

Here's what I'd personally rate some areas of the game:

Gameplay (8/10)
It was a little hard to understand how to play at first, even with the tutorials because there is a lot going on... but when you understand how to play it's a lot of chaotic fun, especially with a friend! There are quite a few quick time events when playing as a bandit, but they're fun and are very well designed to fit the tool you're using.

Graphics (10/10)
I absolutely love the cartoony style! The lighting is good, the colour scheme is well worked out, and all the effects were very satisfying. The funny character design and animations were the cherry on top and lead to a lot of laughter!

Sound Design (8/10)
The sound fx were good, although there were maybe a few too many happening at once at times. The goofy music definitely fit the tone of the game, but got a little much on top of all the sound fx, so I ended up turning it down quite a bit.

Overall I enjoyed it a lot, and would love to play with 4 friends at the same time to see what chaos that would be!

Lighting can really take your 3D scenes to the next level!

Here's a simple scene I made in #Blender to demonstrate this. The first render just has 1 plain sunlight, and the second one has 11 carefully placed lights... No change to materials or textures!

Here's the new trailer for our game "(You're Not) Welcome to Rennville"!

Home Alone moment in #BanditTrap Got that slingshot timed perfectly lol

Well I got a lot of guesses about what I'm busy making in #Blender with one of my students, but no one got it right...

The closest guess was "the Titanic" because... it's a battle ship! Still a WIP, but here's what it's looking like so far

Update on the project I'm making with one of my students in #Blender... So far no one has guessed what it is, any new guesses?

In addition to that, I've just released a new gameplay trailer on YouTube! Check it out here: https://youtu.be/Bh6dapP4mYo

Was not expecting this in #BanditTrap

Stay hydrated, but not this much!

The bandits may have won this round... but at what cost? #BanditTrap

Another trap I made in #Blender inspired by Bandit Trap and @poyribn 's comment and sketch! The "Un-Welcome" mat
