This took awhile to figure out but I’ve found a way to convert text blocks sotred in data commands into transparency-enabled sprites, this is probably what everyone else uses for this sort of thing, other than external files that is.

In the quest for accessibility, I'm adding Resurrection Shrines for players on the 'novice' end of the platforming spectrum.
In order to unlock the power of a Shrine, you must collect 3 'Souls' from your dead corpses! (the floating blue orbs)
