(For those who would like to make an N64 version of themselves)
I would usually start with the head. When starting do not make the model too round, maybe one subdivision in render and viewport. Make sure to use less than 160,000 polygons because that is the max polygons that N64 can view at a time. I would use about 2,000 at most, maybe even 700. At every limb, there is a split and at the joints, there are even more splits, I didn't have to suffer from this as much because of my character but that's about all I have to say.
