August 22, 2022, you died. But you died a hero. For me, your sister, everyone you've ever knew... all of us broke at the harsh fact that came upon us, but you knew your own outcome. You were in a horrible situation, as the rest of your family, and you knew coming out of it alive wouldn't happen. In that moment you told your family, and most importantly your sister, the final words you would speak. And as of today, she lives on everything you've ever said. The reason she can keep going is because you ventured with her, by her side, the whole damn way. After knowing you and your family so personally, it feels criminal to have the literal definition of angel stolen from us.
And I hope the one who caused your deathβ I hope she knows exactly what she did. But even if I speak from my own hatred, you wouldn't want that. You would have forgiven her, and that's just something I find so hard to do.
The circumstances of which she killed you is utter bullshit, honestly unbelievable, but it's real. And to your sister it's the rude state of reality every day now. To not be able to wake up and see your smug looks, to not celebrate your birthday like you were twins, nothing.
But you stood proud of the last moments you experienced with your family. Your sister sacrificed blood and hand but in return to get her, your mom, your dad, your baby brother, out alive.
Even if you came out of there breathing, you still died, but with a smile on your face. And your family? They all live to tell that you, dear soldier, was a fucking champion. To everyone.
We love you, we miss you, and we'll never forget you.
Even today they still celebrate like you're still here with us.
