In this build 1.0.0 there is no explicit mechanic, after getting the shotgun at level 2 use the mouse scroll to change weapons.
When you die, you reset with the shotgun you collected.

In the quest for accessibility, I'm adding Resurrection Shrines for players on the 'novice' end of the platforming spectrum.
