Bad Bears got stolen; rejoice?


Until I uploaded Bad Bears to GameJolt I was running the game on a little-advertised private server.
So, since I put the game here on GameJolt, I hardly ever need to wait to find other players. Good, yes?

But here’s the catch: I have no idea where 90% of players are coming from since they’re not counted in GameJolt, and they don’t appear in my analytics either!

Looking at how their avatars KO, I know: these guys are using the first alpha version, which I already updated maybe 2 or 3 times.

Conclusion? Very Likely the exe was uploaded somewhere else, with the up that you won’t be short of opponents to play with you.

Coming up

In the latest build today (0.3.5), adding nice fixes:

  • You can now hear other players’ bullets.

  • Your nickname (that you can assign in lower left of main menu, if you wish!) updates correctly in global leaderboards.

Next up

Ducks shall Rain Tomorrow, in the coming update to Shoot Me Baby, it will be raining ducks. While this is a sight to behold, the update will ship with serious fixes, like limiting the amount of text you can enter in the name field.

We made a lot of improvements on the Freezing Plains visual. Things like pine trees, tiny bushes, some rocks, and others game props!
