I’m not a big fan of using the word “YOLO” (You Only Live Once), but until I get a better name… I guess it wont hurt.
Anyway,
I’m humbled by the overall positive feedback i’m getting for the game. But not every one is thrilled about the fact that there isn’t a checkpoint system in place.
It’s intentional. But I wouldn’t want to make most of the players miss out on most of the content that the game has to offer just because the thought of retrying isn’t very appealing after surviving waves of tough enemies only to die from a stray bullet… (I know the feel )
So I want to introduce a lives system. Which is basically a checkpoint system as long as you don’t run out of lives. Haven’t decided how many lives but I can assure you I won’t be too generous muhahahahahahaha.
Sorry about that. I don’t know what got into me.
However, the original mode I want to keep. Yolo is what I want to call it. You won’t have to unlock this mode. But I am thinking about what extra content to provide those that go through YOLO.
I like hard games. I want to learn how to create enjoyable hard games. And I want to at least give a reward those who gather the courage to take on the YOLO challenge. (Rewards for punishing modes is usually just more punishment muhahahahahahaha)
I think it will be fun. Still thinking about how it will all play out.
