It has been some time since the #lowrezjam. I’ve always had a wish to patch Be_AT around since then. Finally the time is here. I’m also wondering if anyone would like to see this rhythm game open sourced.
USB Gamepad support has been added. The first control stick has been mapped to the arrow keys, while the first four buttons are mapped to the spacebar.
After playing osu! recently, I thought it was a cool idea to get a rating for your prestation instead of just a number. That’s why ratings have been added. Can you score 100% and get the S rating?
Lastly, you can now press [F5] on the title screen to enable the 32x32 resolution. This eliminates the need of having two different versions of the game. All other minor changes are listed in the changelog under this article.
I would like to ask everyone if he/she wants to see the game open sourced. It is certainly possible for me and I’d like to do it, but it takes some time since I have to clean up and comment all code, so it would be a waste of time it wouldn’t be used, but it would make a very good example of how to make a rhythm game. If you are interested in this, shoot me a message and I’ll look into the options!
Thank you for reading! If you like you can download Be_AT version 1.1 right here on GameJolt.
