this devlog is more to give my thoughts about this game currently rather than showing anything (i might in future posts)

long story short i haven't worked on this game since january or february, i was looking forward to releasing the game on those dates but i really underestimated my laziness and demotivation

i wouldn't say i didn't like making this game, but at the start of this year i really didn't felt like doing anything for it, i started making one of the minigames, then one of the CN exclusives and recoding the AIs, but quickly got tired of doing it

i'm a bit sad about how i abandoned this game, however despite of how long it's been in the making (it'll soon be 3 years of development) i still see a future to this project

once again, nope, the game is not cancelled, it's coming

no promises but i might start working on this again after releasing my 2 next recodes (which are pretty advanced already so they hopefully don't take 200 years to come out)

i made this post mainly after revisiting what i have made of the Halloween Edition (imo it's still a pretty solid game)

also, talking about HE, yeah..... it's been ages since halloween and i've thought of combining it with the main game, BUT i might just finish it on halloween 2026 if i DO end up finishing the main game this year

overall, i'm still very proud of how this game turned out (or turning out ig) and i've always said that this game isn't meant to be a good game at all, it's decent at best but it's my attempt at making a full game mostly by myself

i can't really say development is resuming rn, but i feel like i'm getting out of the burnout, so i might start posting dev things and maybe random renders again in this page soon, i also might update the demo on it's anniversary now that i think about it

anyway, sorry for the super long ranting lol, i needed to kind of vent my thoughts about the game and how long it's taken to make (it's a pretty big game anyway now that i think about it, i wouldn't be surprised if the final file size is 700-800 mb)

no idea if someone is gonna read this entire thing, but if you did and you're still interested on seeing the final product, thank you, as i said i still like this game and i want to finish it, that's all
