Before the idea of One Hundred Hands came along, the game was previously known as "Her Lament, Our Labyrinth" – being as I can describe, "Kaiju Paradise + Deathloop."

This was a reboot of an old game to get old fans to return, but didn't happen.

The game had the usual "Zyphers" as you would expect from a game set in the DREADWALKER universe. (No Flag Above the Ice original version, etc.) Not much was there aside from a tiny bit of lore and some gameplay bits:

(version 1 of it as far I know)

The game was set in Lapsefield in the "Pandora's Annex"–a CIA blacksite in an unknown part of America nicknamed "Bridge to Nothingness."

Lapsefield was discovered by Zyphers sent out by ARKTOS, what seemed like an ordinary small town was actually an anomaly.

Zypher “Orange” reported seeing a woman with three shadows at the edge of the treeline. She did not blink, she spoke with fragments of voices belonging to ARKTOS staff. Clocks ran backwards. Civilian radios were only catching number stations and lullabies.

Here was also where James K. was stationed for a while, discovering...

The “Recidivum Phenomenon”, as he called it - was a temporal incursion event where time looped, fractured, and echoed, allowing perception to overwrite truth. Potentially rewrite human behavior itself.

With access to Lapsefield’s anomaly, Kennedy believed he could erase trauma, induce obedience, manufacture legends, and even alter recorded history.

He attempted to overwrite JFK's assassination, which yielded strange results.

Skipping past that, the game would've been set during a breach of sorts–with three playable sides being proposed:

The CIA themselves, the Zyphers and a PMC called Stratagenix.

CIA were the ones sent to clean up the mess, Zyphers would be the animals/super soldier furries–the main threat, and Stratagenix to cause chaos between them. Lots of ideas were out there; extraction shooter, sandbox like the original, but one that stuck was:

The three sides has one main story objective to complete. Whoever completes their story first wins the campaign.

CIA can acquire more backup by activating safe zones in the Annex, though, it takes a while and has to be defended.

The Zyphers, instead of being "only grab human", would've had abilities. From lurking, teleportation, double jumps, and so forth. Stratagenix had tech to assist them, though old.

Two new characters from this game were supposed to be Dr. Gerstenberg (again, a THE PRESENCE: SPLIT MINDS/The Prophecy) reference) and Garrett Green. Only names were dropped, but I'd assume Garrett was part of the CIA.

Now, talking why this never got made; this would've been a MESS. Like the original DREADWALKER, (with the leader stuff) there was just no clue how to make it NOT BORING after a few hours or so. And... yeah... the ambition.
