For my take on Greymatter instead of him being smart and small, I'll be giving more useful abilities, everytime Ben Transforms into Greymatter, Greymatter will have some high advanced Galvan Tech, Greymatter will have the ability to defend himself instead of be defenseless all the time. He can use his tech to hack technology and combat, Greymatter also has his own Galvan Mech, with the mech, Greymatter can now fight bigger opponents.
