BETA Progress

Hey dear follower!

A quick update to let you know what I’ve been working on.
For the prototype I received many requests, one that kept coming up is AI hanging at certain points and the Shrine being overcrowded due to being the only resource drop off.

This is now fixed, multiple storages can be used in the game and villagers will dynamically select the nearest one when in need of dropping off resources!

The way resources are gathered has changed too, instead of just adding a X amount to the wood variable, gatherers now collect actual materials ( logs for the woodcutter )

This enables using villager and storage capacities which lead to a whole load of new gameplay :)

Apart from that, the AI navigation procedure has been overhauled again to make sure the game keeps running at 30 FPS at least.

Another thing that has been completely rewritten is the way interactions work. The mouse cursor is gone and has been replaced with a fully animated godhand controller! This makes interacting with the world feel way more natural and makes you feel like you’re actually handling the world with your hand! ( I wonder if this will work with VR, haha )

Soon, the closed BETA will commence! Did not sign up yet? It’s your last chance!

If you’re anxious to see Blameless grow, please consider supporting me with a dollar or two here on Gamejolt!

Thanks for all your continued support, below a little teaser screen!

Some time ago, we posted a screenshot of the Mexico level. A curiosity about it is that, like some other scenarios of the game, it was inspired by a real landscape, The Basaltic Prisms of Santa María Regla. It is one of the natural wonders of the country!

Ladies & gentlemen.. The Blender logo factory! I had a ton of un making this animation. I'll be making a short tutorial on picking up/dropping object in Blender for animations next week! What do you think?
