Biggest Patch In Vortrus History Tomorrow!!!


Hello everyone,
I’m excited to announce that Vortrus is going into its 0.2 patch! This new version number isn’t just for show; two new ships and an entirely new unlock system (as well as a variety of other improvements) are available right out of the gate! Here is a more detailed list of improvements:

  • Added the Gun Runner and the Tyranis Carrier to the ship roster (Shout out to Tyranis, who got the best score at the Florida Polytechnic Game Expo)

  • Added a new unlock system which makes updating the game SO much easier

  • Added a new handling system to the ship (no more clunky vertical movement)

  • Added in a new unlock notification (You’ll know when you’ve unlocked something and what type of thing it is)

  • Adjusted difficulty to make certain areas more fair

  • Added sound to a few enemies

Overall, there is a lot to love about Vortrus that there simply wasn’t a month ago. I’ve been working feverishly to make sure this game is the best game possible, and I believe that I did an excellent job. Below you’ll find a video of the newest ship in action, the Gun Runner. I’ll just let it convince you that Vortrus is the best it’s ever been.

Working on a new type of ship! Hello, I am currently working hard on a new ship type called the Tyranis Carrier which will bring lots of new possibilities for the way you eliminate enemies. Stay tuned!

New To Vortrus: Volume Sliders!

Working on level 6! I’m currently working on level 6 of Vortrus! This level will include combat against ground units among other new situations. It also will include the first actual terrain! :D Note that the screenshot is still very much a WIP.

A New Enemy Type Appears! The Protus Raider will be in Protus Maximum and Minimum!

Haven't had much time to work on Vortrus, but I have had time to add pretty post processing! Pretty good looking, huh?
