Hello! Long time since I posted something on the progress of Blameless, so here’s some status update! First things first….
You can now support the development of Blameless by paying what you want here on Game Jolt, help me out with a few cents/bucks so I can become a better developer :D
Begging aside, what’s happening with Blameless?? A lot!
I had to decide on the direction to go. It took a vacation and some heavy thinking but it’s done! One of the games that heavily inspired Blameless is Black and White, as a kid I skipped sleep on a regular basis just to play. Blameless just didn’t feel right.
What I did was reconsider every single aspect of the game with care. Some things will stay, some will be gone. The biggest difference with the prototype is the lack of grids. All the cubes and squares are gone, the flat shaded buildings too.
Inpsiring will get a major overhaul too, the UI will dissapear and is going to be replaced with a drag and drop system. You drop villagers near objects to inspire them. This means sometimes the villagers will misinterpret what you’re trying to let them achieve.
Much more is coming soon! Instead of gradual releases you got used too Blameless will now go into closed beta testing. The main reason for this is keeping track of testing and being able to define better what functionality is failing or succeeding. Sign up for the beta: here!
