Blog Post #1: Progress Update, Upcoming Demo, and Twitter Teasers

Friedrich's just hit 25 followers!

Big thanks to everyone who has supported the game so far. This page has only been up for like a day, so hitting this milestone is pretty cool!

Since there are some eyes on this game now, I wanted to give some quick updates on how the game is looking right now. I won’t be spoiling everything the game has to offer, but I’ll give you a general idea of how things are looking.

The programming for the main gameplay is largely done. There are 10 rooms and 4 fully programmed animatronics. Unfortunately, the main bulk of the work is going to be art/animation. In terms of rooms, I have about 5 of them drawn, with 5 rooms worth of animatronic animations (they have exit and entrance animations for each room they go into, plus some extras).

Once the art is complete, with some sound effects and polish, I’d like to look at possibly getting a demo out. The demo would include two playable nights, four animatronics, and a little extra content. After that, even more content and polish will be worked on until the eventual full release.

To summarize it, the game is about 50% ready for a demo. In the coming weeks, any blog post I make will also feature a progress bar (much like the one here) showing how close we are to a demo release. How exciting!

Friedrich's History #3 - Goldenfriedrich, Fritterfalle, and Ella! (and a bit of Endoskelett)

The ever-popular Friedrich's height chart has been updated to include all characters in the full game. Revel in its accuracy!

While working on Friedrich's, I had an idea for a spinoff game, but it never really got past the idea phase. The only evidence of its existence is a few songs I wrote. This song, titled "Halls", would've been the theme of the restaurant during the day

The previously mentioned Friedrich's spinoff would've been a VN where you play as a detective, investigating after the events of Friedrich's. You'd meet all sorts of wacky characters, including the mysterious lady who signs the checks! This is her theme.

Originally, the song "Fritter Fallen" was going to be a lot longer. However, I got a bit carried away with the cool badass guitars, and realized the tone of the song didn't really fit the melancholy ending. So I trimmed it short.
