Blog Post #2: What's left?


Hello Friedheads!! The video uploader seems to be broken, so my usual progress update post isn't gonna cut it. Because of that, I figured now would be a good time for a full-on blog post!

First, massive thanks for getting the page to 68 followers! I probably should've made a post at 50, but better late than never! The support this game has been receiving is very encouraging, and I appreciate everyone's kind words and support! :)

Next, here's screenshots of what would've been today's update video. It's the Supply Closet, featuring Bernard on the prowl!

With that, let's take a look at our current demo progress...

Wow!! 70 whole percent. Not bad! To be transparent, here's the work that remains:

  • 1 more room to be drawn/animated

  • Character animations for the office

  • Proper UI

  • Audio/Visual polish

I'm still not comfortable enough to give an exact release date, but I would say to expect the demo to be ready by early June. Again, this demo would include 2 playable nights, 4 animatronics, and a bit of extra content to play around with. I hope you all enjoy!

Next up

The previously mentioned Friedrich's spinoff would've been a VN where you play as a detective, investigating after the events of Friedrich's. You'd meet all sorts of wacky characters, including the mysterious lady who signs the checks! This is her theme.

While working on Friedrich's, I had an idea for a spinoff game, but it never really got past the idea phase. The only evidence of its existence is a few songs I wrote. This song, titled "Halls", would've been the theme of the restaurant during the day

Just for fun, here's the first draft I ever did of Finger Lakes. I'd only written the first minute, and it left a lot to be desired.

Tomorrow will be the last song in this series, and it'll be a new song for an existing character. Can you guess who?

Also Friedrich's Wave 1 stickers have returned!! Use your charges to get these classic critters.

These will be up for a couple months, then we'll cycle back into Wave 2. Happy stickering!

This one's a bit unfinished, but Pfingstmontag was the original draft for the Extras menu theme! I changed my mind because it seemed way too cheery, even for an Extras menu.

FIVE NIGHTS AT FRIEDRICH'S is now available on MAC and LINUX (also MINOR PATCH NOTES v1.1.1)

Originally, the song "Fritter Fallen" was going to be a lot longer. However, I got a bit carried away with the cool badass guitars, and realized the tone of the song didn't really fit the melancholy ending. So I trimmed it short.
