Blog Post #3: Demo Release Date!?!?

IF YOU JUST WANNA SEE THE DEMO RELEASE DATE, SKIP TO THE BOTTOM OF THE POST :)

Hello Friedheads!! Long time no talk. I've been hard at work in the Friedrich mines, but I'm not coming to you empty handed!

First of all, how about that title screen? We've got lovely flickering visuals of the big four, with fantastic music by Lashmush and sorohanro of Newgrounds dot com! (Give them support/love here: https://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/411229)

Title screen might look fancy, but that's not all! The rest of the UI has been given a facelift to match. Check it out:

Not too shabby! And how about that cam flip animation? ;)

"But hey," you're almost definitely about to say, "What about the CLICK text??" What about it indeed. Let's click it:

An employee handbook?? That's right! Instead of a phone call each night, you'll have a piece of light reading to guide you. This won't necessarily just be a handbook. It could also be a technician's manual, a letter from management, or some other third thing! Unlike a phone call, these readings can be reopened and referred back to during the night.

Alright, enough yapping. I know you read that title. When the heck is this demo coming out?? Well first, let's take a quick look at the progress bar.

Wow!! We're very close. Even Bernard and Clara look surprised.

And yet, we're pretty far. 5% may be small, but this last bit is gonna be pretty important. Polish, balancing, playtesting, and all the little details that I believe will be crucial to this demo. Because of that, I'm gonna need a bit more time to get this thing ready.

I think in an earlier post I mentioned an early June release date? Let's stick with that. The demo will be releasing Friday, June 7th. Friedrich Friday, or something.

Hope you can all wait until then. I know I'll be hard at work until then. Realistically, you probably won't hear from me again until the demo comes out. Unless I suddenly decide to share something cool :)

Alright, this post is already way too long. See you all June 7th!! Friedrich Friday baby!!

FIVE NIGHTS AT FRIEDRICH'S is now available on MAC and LINUX (also MINOR PATCH NOTES v1.1.1)

Last song! This is another new song from that cancelled Friedrich's spinoff, an updated theme for everyone's favorite yellow nightguard, Ella Vanilla! This version of Ella has chilled out just a bit, but she still loves her job!

While working on Friedrich's, I had an idea for a spinoff game, but it never really got past the idea phase. The only evidence of its existence is a few songs I wrote. This song, titled "Halls", would've been the theme of the restaurant during the day

Into the Water

This one's a bit unfinished, but Pfingstmontag was the original draft for the Extras menu theme! I changed my mind because it seemed way too cheery, even for an Extras menu.

FIND ME .... MICHAEL!!!!

Just for fun, here's the first draft I ever did of Finger Lakes. I'd only written the first minute, and it left a lot to be desired.

Tomorrow will be the last song in this series, and it'll be a new song for an existing character. Can you guess who?

The previously mentioned Friedrich's spinoff would've been a VN where you play as a detective, investigating after the events of Friedrich's. You'd meet all sorts of wacky characters, including the mysterious lady who signs the checks! This is her theme.

Suggested by @Frozen_Dark_Oswald , I hope you like it!!

Originally, the song "Fritter Fallen" was going to be a lot longer. However, I got a bit carried away with the cool badass guitars, and realized the tone of the song didn't really fit the melancholy ending. So I trimmed it short.
