I’m starting off this post by laughing at the title. Second, do not fear. The Optimum Link update 0.2 will be up tomorrow. A nice Sunday treat for all you patient Earthlings. But I wanted to say a few things about the project.
0.1 was a huge crash test. It went pretty well, but I was ready to burst into flames. I was still exploring what mechanics worked and what doesn’t, blah blah. Originally, 0.2 was supposed to be a content-dump, basically just more creations, tools, worlds, and not many new mechanics. Things went and shifted themselves into a shifty manner of sorts, however, and some projects were moved around in the studio. Halfway through, a project that had previously been cancelled was brought back to life, so a lot of my focus was on that for a while. I just made the page public, link will be below. In addition to those things, I’m looking to build up the team more to get more stuff done (yo, contact protoriastudios@gmail if you’re a 3D modeler/sound designer/Unreal Engine developer).
As a result: 0.2 will not have quite as many things as was promised, BUT most of that was content-wise. Instead we tweaked and improved lots of things, and this build sorta “sets up” the game for bigger updates later. There’s still going to be the biggest world in the game yet, Lost Oceans, in this update. But stick around because it’s going to get even bigger. Also as of about three days ago I’ve been working on a new feature that could change the game and add hours more play-time. Said feature may involve lots of Characters…
