It took a good month, plus a few days, just for build #010 to come along. I kinda went a bit all out on working on it… But before we get to the changelog, two important announcements for servers
Server files are gone
Whaaaaaaat? Server files are gone? Yep, that’s right, and with good reason. I made it much simpler to start up a server. No need to download any extra files. It’s already in the game itself. Create a shortcut and right click on properties. Then go to target and add -servermode to the end, with a space separating the last word and -servermode. Outside of the quotes if there are any. Then double-click on this shortcut and Polystrike will run in dedicated server mode! Want to play Polystrike while your server is running? Just double-click on the regular program! I unfortunately do not know how to do this with Macintosh. If it helps, -servermode is a command line argument
Server ports have changed!
If you are planning on creating a dedicated server (register it via our Discord) or just port forwarding to play with your friend who’s at his house, then it’s best to change your port forwarding settings. The port was changed from the Unity default (7777) to 7525
