Build #014 is now live!


Build #014 has a few new systems in place and plenty of bug fixes to go around. It felt really good to knock out the invisible bodies bug. I’m also giving teams another shot since Photon has their own player management system that properly syncs across the network. Which is really nice because syncing UNET variables before the Anniversary Build was a bloody pain.
I was hoping to get Xbox Live services set so we could deploy to the Xbox Creators tab and add some achievements and leaderboards for those playing on UWP, but their documentation sucks and tutorials make absolutely no sense. Will have to give it another try when I can learn more.

Geez I’ve been talking a lot. Let’s see that changelog already:

Here’s what’s new in Build #014:

  • “Mag tracking” is what I call it. You can reload magazines and they will stay to be used later instead of being thrown away

  • Changed bot spawn time from 45 to 30 seconds and reduced health from 75 to 50

  • MasterClient now handles Bot spawning and AI and syncs it across the network

  • Implemented full controller support

  • Fixed bug where you could only see other players’ legs

  • Hopefully fixed character sync, my internet is too weak to test that

  • Increased AK-47 damage and adjusted the reload animation

  • Made a Backpack UI to show all the weapons you can select

  • Ladders are no longer for show

  • Fixed some bugs that allowed you to shoot and/or aim while running

  • Fixed a few animation bugs

  • Added a small build identifier in the top left

  • Made an attempt at teams. If you see another player who is the same color as you, he’s on your team!

  • Removed Bloom effect because the platform decided to wildly dazzle

Changelog in-game may be a little different, didn’t really proofread it as much as I did here. Anyway,
