HeliHavoc launched my career as a game developer since it was the first game I released to the public. Although I never did any advertising for it, it’s been slowly gaining popularity over time. My first commercial game is to date my most well-received by rating and it’s helped me build a career in game development. Thank you to everyone who’s played it. Although the player base is small and the game is fairly short (if you’re good you can beat it in about 30 minutes) I still come back and play it from time to time. It’s a fun little doodad and I think there is a lot of potential here!
I would like to make a sequel: HeliHavoc 2 will be fully 3D and feature new rich cityscapes. This time, I’ll dive into the style a lot more, we have new animated characters and funny dialogue. A mission system, similar to the one found in SimCopter will be included so that you can select which mission types you want to do. We will also have new helicopters that you can earn by completing missions and the airship will serve as your home base.
When it comes to style, we are going to keep a similar polygonal-cartoon look with high-end shaders and lighting. The day/night cycle, lighting, and materials added a lot to the first game (try it on ‘Fantastic’ graphics setting, your computer can probably run it even if it’s a toaster!) and I want to add to it with funny animated characters and situations!
Like, comment, rate and share. You can also fund development of HeliHavoc 2 by buying HeliHavoc, all proceeds (except for the small cut that GameJolt takes to run the website) will go towards development and every single purchase counts, large or small!
Thanks for playing HeliHavoc :)
