What Happened to Site 13? (SCP-1730 Game)

Cancelled...?


Hey. So, it's been a while. 7 months, about. With the whole lockdown thing happening right now, I know some of you would like to see a good game to play while stuck at home, and this project would be a perfect chance to cease your boredom and hone my skills. However, more important things have come up and I have moved on from game development, for now. This sadly means that WHTS13 will not be worked on.

I know this is bound to upset many, especially those who really wanted to see this idea turn into a full game, but as of right now, that isn't possible.

There are multiple reasons why I'm no longer working on this, however to keep this relatively short, here are the main two reasons:

  1. I have lost interest in SCP.

  2. My skills in game development aren't anywhere near good enough to make the game I want to make.

Does this mean I will no longer make this game, ever? No. I still want to make this possible, whether it be months or even years down the line.

If you want to see an SCP-1730 game soon, you're best bet is to find another developer.

I hope to see you all soon, hopefully with an announcement.

Alone Together....

Some time ago, we posted a screenshot of the Mexico level. A curiosity about it is that, like some other scenarios of the game, it was inspired by a real landscape, The Basaltic Prisms of Santa María Regla. It is one of the natural wonders of the country!
