Hello everyone! That's right, we have a GameJolt now! As you can probably tell, this is still a big WIP...I have some art and writing stuff alongside some urgent personal stuff to get out of the way first, but I do have plans for channel background art, custom header art, and a more appealing game icon. I plan on making an AU Tumblr too (and maybe even a Bluesky??), so I'll post more updates when the time comes for that as well.

Now, I do want to make things clear that this isn't a proper newsletter. My current goal is to start seasonal updates, but...progress is so slow, there isn't much that happens per season, really. Besides, I have a stunning lack of visuals to go along with these newsletters, so...I'll just start 'em up whenever we're ready!

First and foremost, we are desperately seeking out team members! Our team consists of like, 3 people right now (including me)...so, we could really use any and all assistance! If this AU has your interest piqued, consider joining our Discord and maybe even signing up for the team! My initial plan was to do everything by myself...to think I could be so naive... So, uh, yeah, I'm a lot more lenient with applications at the moment (not necessarily accepting EVERYONE per say, but, like, now's the time to join, if you catch my drift), and you could apply for literally ANYTHING. You're a pro artist? Sweet. You're a master musician? Nice to be working with you! You're just someone who gives out random concepts here and there. That's...basically all the co-owner can do too, so welcome!

ART/SPRITES

Basically, the point of this "newsletter" is to just dump everything I've revealed thus far for this project. And, you never know, maybe some unseen stuff, too...?

Starting off with the art, here are the reference sheets for Noelle and Berdly respectively! (Art by me (Alternimo))

Finally, our last bit of art is the SOUL sprite.

Art/Sprites is easily our largest category in this newsletter, but it's certainly not the only one. I won't say too much else, but do expect a fair deal of art-related stuff coming up moreso than anything else.

MUSIC

To put things simply, we don't yet have any OFFICIAL music. I'm learning how to compose right now, and the hope's that I'll eventually be able to create a majority of the music. We'll see where this aspiration goes, but I have certain ideas for songs that may be a bit hard to convey to others, to say the least...

Anyway, despite this, we do have some "unofficial" music in the form of Stream of Progress content! I won't get into great detail about what "Stream of Progress" is (more can be found about that in the Discord server), but the basic idea is that all unofficial, unused, or non-canon content will be featured in the game in some way (not the MAIN game, but in the form of little side-quests and bonus features). Again, more information can be found in the server, and additional details will be provided at a later date.

Anyway, we don't have many songs to show off, and the majority of them are unfinished. All of them are composed by ComposerDude (CD), who has since resigned from the team, likely due to its inactivity...

So. I didn't quite account for the fact that you wouldn't be able to directly upload audio files here. So...I'll upload them to YouTube once I get the proper preparations done, and share them in an eventual follow-up announcement (likely will be done around the time of the Tumblr's creation and the artworks for the community channels). Sorry for building up to nothing!

WRITING

There's not a whole lot I can share writing-wise, unfortunately. Lore will be left under-wraps so that the story can be told properly ingame. Dialogue...well, to be honest, nothing too interesting has been done yet. Mostly just Noelle yapping about random objects throughout her house. (Speaking of yapping, I really gotta wrap things up...)

There is one thing I suppose I could share, however...

Well, I suppose this marks the end of our...admittedly long, so-called first "newsletter". Again, this was basically just a compliation of stuff already revealed to the server over the course of the past year or so. (Yeah, this is all. I wasn't lying when I said I tend to procrastinate...) Well, with the addition of a couple extra things, like the dialogue excerpt.

...oh, I almost forgot to mention: a little off-topic, but Ember WILL be getting a rename in the near future. I just feel like "Ember" is a very popular name for a Dess-based "Ralsei"...1, that'd be TOO popular for my likings, and 2, it's hard to say whether this character could really be considered "Dess-based" at all...
