So I just figured out today that CapCut, an easy and back then FREE editing app! Turned into a money hungry greedy piece of shit!

What happened?:

Capcut was the editing app I've been using for over a year now, ever since I figured out how to make videos. I've used CapCut, this is because it was free (mostly) and easy editing app! And the effects were so good!

But later today I found out after they started making almost every feature a pro feature... I lost it...

What's a pro feature?:

Pro for CapCut is just the Youtube premium of the app. A monthly/yearly subscription you can pay for to get better features and stuff. And back when I first discovered CapCut, I found that all Pro features back in the day were reasonable. And they weren't OVERUSED. But now in 2025... CapCut started making EVERYTHING A PRO FEATURE!

The little Gem in the top left corner of each effect means it's a pro feature. And as you can see. The top of the effects tab is just FILLED WITH PRO FEATURES. You practically can't use the app anymore, all you can really make anymore is just a slide show. And you basically HAVE TO PAY MONEY TO USE THE APP. Which was CapCut's Opposite reason they got the fame they did. Back in the quarantine ages people used CapCut to edit videos while they were locked inside their houses. And it was a pretty good app! It had little to none water marks. Tons of effects. And it was very easy and self explanatory. But most of all. It was free! Well not exactly free. Because keep in mind Pro still existed back in the day. However there were by FAR less pro features in 2020, then there are right now in 2025

What's gonna happen now?:

Well, obviously I'm not using CapCut again... Since I won't be supporting a money hungry greedy app like this any longer if I can't even use it anymore... This is sad...

Overall, fuck you CapCut. You're just making editors suffer, all because you want money. Which is something you weren't labeled as
