Hello q.e.d. gamers, @Harshmallow here. Today, we're going to talk about Chapter 2: "Electrifying Extortion," which will be releasing on May 10th, 2025 alongside the newly updated Chapter 1: "Beyond the Grave."

I previously gave some details about how Chapter 2 would be unfolding, but if anyone needs a quick refresher...
Following Freddy's grand exhumation, Toy Freddy has become incredibly rich and famous - but you don't gain that kind of status without making friends and foes alike. Emerging from his gold-encrusted flat, the rotund animatronic finds an invitation on his doorstep that draws him right into the seedy underbelly of the city.
Meeting a mysterious she-wolf, our intrepid hero is made to put his money where his mouth is in a series of trials set to test his mettle. The reward? Front-row seats at the capital of high society, the Partyplex; but he's not here for pleasure. No, he's got something else in mind.
Meanwhile, a storied spirit awakens in a strange scene, looking for answers...
It's been long enough, I think, to reveal what some of this means.
In this chapter, Toy Freddy will become Roxanne Wolf's right-hand man in a clandestine operation to regain control of the... "Partyplex?" You heard that right. Many years ago, these Glamrock Animatronics set out on their own night of debauchery. Their ill-fated quest steered them straight into the ironclad grasp of servitude; following a devastating loss at the hands of the Party Hats, the band lost their status as the establishment within this establishment. Soon, the Party Hats would reinvent the dusty, outdated Pizzaplex into the chic, shiny Partyplex and take the Glamrock Animatronics as slaves for their personal amusement. Exploiting the immense popularity of FNaFb, the Party Hats soon reached the tippy-top of the societal food chain through the power of brand recognition. Just how did Roxy end up here, though? You'll have to play the chapter to find out!
Chapter 2's gameplay will consist of the overworld exploration, puzzling, and combat you've come to expect from FNaFb. New weapons, including a baseball bat, twin pistols, and more have been added to Toy Freddy's growing arsenal, giving you a nice helping of quirky interactions atop an ever-expanding underbelly of mechanical depth. At this rate, you should be getting excited for how many options the party will have by Chapter 8!
Speaking of "the party..."

You didn't think poor Toy Freddy was going to fight all by his stony lonesome for long, did you? That's right, in this chapter you'll get to puppet Freddy's lifeless cadaver. Freddy has no LP or SP and functions similarly to a Teddy Bear from EarthBound; if he is hit, no damage is incurred. Ventriloquy skills draw from Toy Freddy's SP, so the player must allot their actions carefully. If Toy Freddy is defeated, the player has one additional turn to commandeer Freddy and turn the tide of battle by using items or other abilities.
That's not all, however. New to Chapter 2 is driving, the underlying framework of missions provided by Roxy (and others...?) More details are soon to come, including a gameplay video - so stay tuned for the next update.
Additionally, a bevy of changes have been made to Chapter 1 - we decided to keep the original name following the decision to merge these two releases together. Overall, progression has been made more clear, and complicated systems have been simplified for greater user enjoyment.
These changes include, but are not limited to...
The basic attack of the 401(k) no longer costs Tokens.
Battle abilities are unlocked incrementally, reducing the overwhelming amount of options available at first glance.
Translation has been re-implemented and now functions as intended.
The trek through the Lost Woods has been clarified in several ways.
Bartering is explained in greater detail.
Various minutia, such as the Fruity Locket quest, have been revised to make the intended solution more obvious.
Additionally, an extra boss has been added. For that matter, each chapter will have an extra boss, so make sure to explore every nook and cranny thoroughly.
Finally comes the matter of chapter-to-chapter progression. Unfortunately, in the game's current state, save files from the "Beyond the Grave" demo are no longer compatible. To combat this, we have introduced a chapter select. Throughout the game's initial episodic release schedule, the chapter select will place you at the beginning of a given chapter with all optional content completed and a solid assortment of items and equipment waiting in your inventory. However, when the game is completed, the chapter select's functionality will be reduced; only the critical path will be completed, and fewer resources will be available. This is, of course, to incentivize playing through the game from start to finish once it is reasonably possible.
Well, that's all for today. See you all again soon!
