Character Development

Hi again! I’d like to introduce the star characters of my game!

This is Starlene the Rabbit. Starlene is a dimensional delivery girl who uses a magic scooter (or is it hi-tech?) to take packages to other dimensions. She’s bubbly, friendly, and always up for a challenge!

This is Ginger the Shiba Inu. Ginger is a sculptor and college student, studying the fine arts. She’s quiet and thoughtful, always considerate of others.

Ginger and Starlene are very happy together. Starlene provides the zest for life that Ginger would otherwise miss out on, and Ginger helps Starlene rethink a few of her more rash decisions (like the time she tried to do a backflip off the house).

What I’ve Completed

  • The story is about 30% written, as I’ve been focusing on creating believable characters.

  • The apartment is 90% finished, and only a few more objects need to be designed.

  • The text box engine is now complete, allowing for multiple object interactions, different talk sprites, the ability to create events when interacting with certain objects, and a cute little arrow that bounces when the text is ready to be scrolled.

We made a lot of improvements on the Freezing Plains visual. Things like pine trees, tiny bushes, some rocks, and others game props!

I have added rewards for quests so that villagers can give you something in return for your hard work helping them. 🥳

I want to know - what's your favourite quest reward?
