Jun’ya Ota (or by his more famous name, ZUN) is a man who loves to drink and make shoot ‘em ups about girls in a Japanese fantasy kitchen sink (Named Gensokyo), drink, make games about the same group of girls, drink, made a shoot ‘em up about drinking, and then drinking some more. His claim to fame is the Touhou Project series of games, known for its wide cast of female characters and a difficulty that puts Dark Souls and Contra (Even Silver Surfer on the NES) to shame.
In the Legend of ZUN (as his name appears in the game). He is the focal character. In the first game (as its the only one as of now that has a Deluxe edition), he is kidnapped by Jack Tramiel to make game for his C64 and Vic-20 computers (and even a future project he has in the works). I’d tell you what happens next but that would be a spoiler.
In game, he is the last obtainable party member, he starts out at level 10 and learns some of the most powerful magic in the game. Albeit his moveset got nerfed in this deluxe version due in part to the postgame as now he has to learn the magic via leveling up. But he is still a force to be reckoned with.
