Check out my original Game Boy that I've been modding for the past few weeks!

I'll put all the details in the article 👇

  • New white shell, pink and green buttons and pads. I really like this color combination.

  • Slightly larger than stock IPS LCD display. As shown you can change the color palettes.

  • Glass screen (instead of plastic that the original has)

  • Replaced the audio amp with a much louder one. It gets crazy loud and I usually just leave the volume slider down pretty low.

  • Replaced the speaker with a 1 watt one to be able to handle the extra loudness.

  • Replaced the volume slider dial in order to cut out some of the audio noise that happens when you amplify it.

  • Added a custom battery LED (pink) to match the buttons.

  • New battery pack (much more capacity than normal double AAs). USB charging.

  • Also replaced the power regulator board and recapped it, but that's more nerdy.

I beat Pokemon Yellow on it so far. Took just under 30 hours.

Hope you like it!

Modded a Game Gear! Took a long time, but I'm really happy with the results. New screen, speakers, shell, rechargeable batteries, all that. Even has an FM radio chip in it so that when it runs Master System games, it has better music.

#GJAsks You know what would be a funny idea for a kart racer?

Oof, got three sticker packs and got super unlucky with my drop rates for the star haha. I gotta master them all though!

Ohh, what's this? You can see all the stickers in a sticker pack before buying/opening now. Finally.
