Chicago Shadows – A Modern Take on Mafia Strategy Gaming
Ever wished you could step back into the smoky alleys of 1920s Chicago, run your own crew, and outsmart rival mob bosses – all without installing a thing?
That’s exactly what I’ve built with Chicago Shadows – a round-based, 2–4 player online strategy game inspired by the classics like Gangsters: Organized Crime and old-school board games where every decision counts.
Why I Made This Game
I grew up loving mafia strategy games. The tension of plotting your moves in secret, forming fragile alliances, and watching plans either succeed or blow up in your face… it’s unmatched. But many of those games are long gone or stuck on dusty CDs. I wanted to bring that feeling back – modern, fast-paced, and playable in your browser.
What Makes Chicago Shadows Different?
Round-Based Multiplayer (2–4 players) – Plan your orders in secret, then watch the city respond as everyone’s actions unfold at once.
Dynamic Conflicts & Diplomacy – Will you negotiate, intimidate, or go in guns blazing? Alliances are fragile, betrayals sting.
A Living City – Businesses can be extorted, cops might react to your crew’s heat, and every block of the city tells a story.
No Downloads, No Installations – Just grab a friend or three, join a session, and dive straight into the action via your browser.
Early Access – I Need Your Feedback
Right now, Chicago Shadows is in early testing. It’s playable, fun, and already causing heated debates between friends – but I’m not done yet. I want to hear from real strategy fans and lovers of mafia games:
What works?
What’s missing?
Which moments made you grin, and which made you want to flip the table?
Your feedback will shape the game’s future.
