Apologies in advance for the wall of text.
So it's come to my attention that I may have caused a few of you some discomfort with my requesting @Cyesine to make a new page. Yes, this was my request. I had no access to the old page; Galva had completely left the project to us, but didn't transfer the ownership of the Game Jolt page to Cyesine, and therefore he was limited by what he could do. We were in a tight spot. I was holding my tongue on the issue because of the 7000+ followers the game had, but as the person programming, and one of the members developing the game, it was frustrating to work with a platform I had no access to. When we decided to add trophies, I tried at first to do it on the old page, but again, we were limited on what we could do, so I requested that Cyesine make a new page. It was a long time coming, anyway.
So now that I hopefully clarified this for you, here are some things I hope you guys try to keep in mind. Our priority is making a great game, not gaining fame. I understand we may lose a few people because of the page switch, but that's going to have to be a price we pay in order to make said game.
A lot of people are complaining about the trophies. The login will be a small thing on the title screen, will not be required in any way, and doesn't affect the game play at all except for those who like trophy hunting. If you're worried about the number of followers, please don't be. It is what it is, and it was all part of making the game as good as we possibly could for as many people as we can.
And lastly, the game will be completely free. Please try to remember we're doing this voluntarily for the love of the art and the love of the FNAF series.
I know this isn't most of you, but things tend to fester and go out of control in any fandom, so I hope addressing the issue can help put some folks' mind at ease. We appreciate the feedback (and the backlash, truly we do), but understand that we mean no ill will toward anyone, and we fully understood the consequences of making a new page, and decided the benefits outweighed the drawbacks. Thank you.
