Class guide on Wanderer

Character Creation Guide

During the game’s intro, the player is asked a few questions that determine the appearance and class of the main character. If you don’t like surprises, you can use this guide to build the exact character you want. Just input the appropriate answers and you’re good to go.

~Are you a boy or a girl?~

This should be a simple question to choose an answer for. There are no differences gameplay wise between genders(except for maybe a few lines of dialogue), so there’s no need to worry about which choice is better for your play-style.

~What is your fascination?~

This question is what decides your class. A more detailed look at the four classes can be found at the bottom of this page. For now, here’s what class each answer gives you:

Stars >>> Astrologer
Nature >>> Druid
Magic >>> Sorcerer
Treasure >>> Alchemist

~Which of these is most important to you?~

This question, along with the first one, decides the graphic for your character. They are as follows:

Harmony: Avatar on down

Revenge: Avatar on down

Family: Avatar on down

Fame: Avatar on down

So, if you picked “Boy”, “Harmony”, and “Stars”, you would end up with the first graphic and the “Astrologer” class. After you’re done with that, you’ll be prompted to enter a name for your character. You won’t be able to change this name later, so pick something sensible! (or not)

~Classes Overview~

If you aren’t sure what class you want, you can find more details about them here. Classes gain skills by the level, and you gain levels by finding and defeating optional bosses called “Shapeshifters” scattered throughout Granti. Note that in the demo only four skills can be learned, out of a total of 8 in the final game.

Astrologer

Description: One who studies the stars and the zodiacs, and can harness their power in battle.
Weapon Type: Staff

Skills:
LV1 - Whack: A simple physical attack: Must have a staff equipped to use it.
LV2 - Star Aqua: Deal Water damage to 2 random enemies.
LV3 - Star Fire: Deal Fire damage to 3 random enemies.
LV4 - Star Earth: Deal Earth damage to 4 random enemies.
LV5 - Focus Strike: Deal Magical, Aerial damage to one enemy.
LV6 - Star Storm: Deal Storm damage to 8 random enemies.
LV7 - Astral Projection: The party reflects magic for 3 turns.
LV8 - Lucky Stars: Greatly increase LUK and SPI for all allies for 10 turns.

Tip: The Astrologer has a highly magic-based skill set. It might be a good idea to buff up his/her INT with Intelligence Stones and not focus so much on raw attack power.

Druid

Description: One who is at peace with nature, harnessing it’s natural energy and gifts.
Weapon Type: Club

Skills:
LV1 - Bash: A simple physical attack: Must have a club equipped to use it.
LV2 - Rock Throw: Deal Earth damage to one foe.
LV3 - Wild Swing: An extremely powerful attack that could miss.
LV4 - Tremor: Deal Earth damage to all foes.
LV5 - Batter: An attack that ignores defense.
LV6 - Buff Up: Raise ATK and DEF for 3 turns.
LV7 - Frenzy: Attack three times with a chance for missing.
LV8 - Venom Trap: Damage and Poison all foes.

Tip: The Druid draws from his/her ATK stat for most skills, so supplement your Druid with Attack Stones often.

Sorcerer

Description: One who has affinity with magic, drawing power from the world around them in mysterious ways.
Weapon Type: Rod

Skills:
LV1 - Smack: A simple physical attack: Must have a rod equipped to use it.
LV2 - Earth Blast: Deal Earth damage to one foe.
LV3 - Water Blast: Deal Water damage to one foe.
LV4 - Fire Blast: Deal Fire damage to one foe.
LV5 - Focus: Raise INT for five turns.
LV6 - DoubleCast: Cast two “Blast” spells randomly.
LV7 - Charge: Raise TP by a small amount.
LV8 - MultiCast: Cast four “Blast” spells randomly.

Tip: Like the Astrologer, the Sorcerer relies on the INT stat heavily. However, the Sorcerer also uses MP instead of the usual TP for many skills. Be sure to raise both INT and MP for this class often.

Alchemist

Description: One who spends time in a laboratory, tinkering with items that give the user an edge in battle.
Weapon Type: Gun

Skills:
LV1 - Shot: A simple physical attack that is aerial: Must have a gun equipped to use it.
LV2 - Herb Plus: Use up two “herb” items to heal 25% of HP to the whole party.
LV3 - Scattershot: Shoot four random enemies.
LV4 - Double Shot: Shoot an enemy twice at full power.
LV5 - Cannon: Damage all enemies aerially.
LV6 - Cannon II: Damage all enemies aerially.
LV7 - Scattershot II: Shoot eight random enemies.
LV8 - Philosopher’s Stone: Max out the party’s TP.

Tip: With this class, you’ll want to have plenty of herb items around to fuel the handy “Herb Plus” skill. Additionally, it’s best to balance out both ATK and INT so that the Astrologer can use both his/her skills and outside magic effectively.

Some time ago, we posted a screenshot of the Mexico level. A curiosity about it is that, like some other scenarios of the game, it was inspired by a real landscape, The Basaltic Prisms of Santa María Regla. It is one of the natural wonders of the country!
