Clout chasing has always been the main factor here.

If you include a person of any minority, you would get a godly amount of praise and a pat on the back for being such a goody two-shoes.

I hate it when people of some community are treated like an influencer's step stool just so they (the influencer) could become famous. I have seen so many channels treating a disabled person like an object they toy around just to get those positive comments and 5$ per like/follower.

Like a commenter of this post said: It doesn't actually matter if the person moved the needle or not for someone in need, the objective is purely the appearance of virtue, because no one looks critically and no one will get called out.

On the other hand, if you DON'T include someone who's in a specific community (like a POC or disabled person) you would get shitted on for not being an "accepting" person.

May I just ask, what the fuck happened with basic human decency? Or did it just never exist at all? Because I feel like it never really did.

People need to know the difference between joking and making fun of.

One is done for laughter or as emotional coping. Other is just outright discrimination.
