The GHHS Game Jam is a school-wide event for students to create a game that relates to the theme, "Under the Stars." Participants can use their imagination to come up with any game of their choice, as long as it fits within this theme. They can use any game engine/programming language (Unity, C#, Java, Python, Scratch, etc.) and are free to collaborate with others as a team or work individually.
Not only are Game Jams a fun experience, but they also test how you work under pressure, time-management skills, and ability to adapt and learn new things. We encourage all interested to join, regardless of previous experience in game development. With around 2 weeks left, there's still plenty of time for new members to join and start coding.
At the end of the Game Jam (11:59 PM on May 14th), the games will be voted on. Winners will be announced, and prizes awarded, in room 2100 during smart lunch on Thursday, May 19th.
Anyone from around the world is welcome to participate! However, only GHHS students are eligible to win prizes.
The Coding Club's goal is to connect people through the Game Jam and introduce the fields of game development and programming as possible career choices for students.
