Colorado State fired their head coach, Jay Norvell, last night after the Rams started out 2-5 this season. More below.


On December 6th, 2021, Colorado State hired Jay Norvell to be their 24th head coach in the program’s history. He replaced Steve Addazio as head coach for the Rams.

2022: Led Colorado State to a 3-9 record.

2023: Led Colorado State to a 5-7 record.

2024: Led Colorado State to an 8-5 record. Lost the Arizona Bowl 43-17 to Miami Ohio.

2025: Led Colorado State to a 2-5 record. He was fired yesterday Following a 31-19 loss vs Hawaii. He had an overall record of 18-26 at Colorado State with a bowl appearance. He was replaced by Tyson Summers, who will be the Rams’ interim head coach while they look for a permanent head coach.
