Serenity Forge is happy to reveal that, for the past couple months, we’ve been working with the brilliant Thomas Brush on a remaster of his 2010 flash game, Coma (Playable here). Over the years, the original game has been played millions of times, and we’re pretty excited about giving it a fresh coat of paint with extended content.
In addition to completely reworked 4K visuals and redesigned sounds, we also have many new areas to flesh out the story, completely new UI, our own proprietary physics engine, and optimized level management to ensure a smooth maximum framerate. This leaves us with the option to easily port to mobile, and removes any restrictions on how far we can push the visual effects.
Because our system is built to be highly optimized, we’re able to focus much more heavily on details. Our ultimate goal with this game is to make everything feel alive. We plan on implementing blowing grass, shifting fog, dynamic reflections and shadows, and much more to meet this end.
We’re pretty happy to work with Thomas on something so beautiful, and we’re all looking forward to where this journey will lead. So join us as we travel across Redwind Field, through the eerie Shill Bend, down and up The Lighthouse, and beyond!
