The past couple days were pretty busy for me, so I didn’t get all that much dev time in, but today I spent a solid 5 hours working on Wave One (and I’ll probably put a few more hours in tonight!) but I’m happy to report the following additions to the game:
I actually added gameplay. What was before just a home menu is now something you can actually play. (aka spaceships to blow up)
Lots of screen shake for an impactful experience.
A particle system for dynamic explosions
Laser cannon will overheat if you use it to much, causing you to have to wait extra time before you can use it again
Player health with Game Over on death
2 of the many powerups planned
So there is a lot more for me to do, but already the game is kind of a blast to play. It shouldn’t be very long (1 week?) before the game is ready for some play testers. But I’ll make a whole new post for that.
