[Main Menu]
So with the new Garden Tileset, we had a need to redo the main menu to better reflect the look and feel of the first area. What's really cool about our main menu is that it will be dynamic, changing with every major update. For the very first main menu, we wanted to go all out. While this is still a work in progress, we think this will be the general feel for the first Main Menu:

What we're going for is a "calm before the storm" feel. The intro to New Eden is going to be very engaging and gripping, and we want that to start in the first Main Menu. We want to set a feel of peace and tranquility before we rip it away from the player.

[Concept Artwork]
So it's no secret that we have an absolutely kickass team working on New Eden. Each and every member of this team is incredibly talented, often in many areas. In a previous Dev Log we mentioned how one of our Artists, Bot, recently joined the Musician's bracket in the team as well. This week we have another instance of this happening. One of our writers, Thunderwolf, has revealed another hidden talent on the New Eden team. He's a fantastic artist as well!
Check out his sketches on a future monster type, the Archowl:

This ties into another possible feature for New Eden, the in-game Beastiary. While this is still up in the air, we think it would be an excellent addition to have some pixelized versions of these amazing concept drawings in the game. On top of that, we'd like to compile a concept art book for a possible reward for future Kickstarter backers.
Let us know what you think of these ideas, and of this concept art!
[Music]
Another new and exotic instrument has arrived! This week it's the Rav Vast Drum. This incredible instrument comes to us from Perm, Russia. It was invented in 2013, and as such is a very new instrument. It's unique sound will find a very nice home in the New Eden OST! Here's a little sound sample of this incredible instrument!

Be sure to let us know what you think of this super amazing instrument, and how you think it will fit into the New Eden OST!
Thank you all for reading this week's Dev Log! It was a bit more compact this week, so hopefully more of you can read it this week! Please leave us your feedback, and thank you all for supporting New Eden!
