Hello!
Today I have a few large items to list.
Firstly, there’s the Robot Tale intro.

Creating this was quite the task!
Drawing the two backgrounds took multiple hours, and long breaks had to be wedged in between the hours.
I also had to plan the scene out over the course of a restless night.
It was all drawn in Gimp, imported into Fusion 2.5, and sequenced with various events.
Despite all the work, I had lots of fun seeing the cut-scene evolve.
I remember lots of ideas going in and out of my head with similar opinions on said ideas,
“Hey! That would look pretty cool on my computer monitor.”
All the effort payed off in the end.
That glorious, 1440p resolution, in combination with the color themes and ‘hand-draw-feel’,
works to create eye pleasing scenes.
And, in addition to the pleasing aesthetic, I really believe the intro communicates the atmosphere and hints the backstory.
But hey! That’s just my opinion. For all I know, the intro could be the greatest abomination known to cinematic intros, and I would never know any better. So how about you rectify this gap of intelligence by commenting below?
The last thing to report is the game’s saving mechanic.
In an earlier report, I mentioned the act of “getting my toes wet” in the saving mechanic.
Well, if the scope of my development was of that proportion,
then my development, over the course of the previous week, was waist deep.
I got done with various elements—location storage, save activation, save user-interface, and save deletion.
Such a save-engine was created with elements like flexibility and robustness in mind; furthermore,
with all the full proof elements, I can say that the save-engine will hopefully not brake any time soon.
Hopefully…
…
God have mercy
In the coming days, I will add more items to the save-engine.
Some examples include character health, character weapon-slot, and other character stats.
I also plan on (and this is insane) implementing a way to save.
Crazy right?
Anyhow, that’s all for now.
See you next time!
