We’re basically done implementing the main features needed for Crucible, and starting to work on encounter design.
The first thing we finally got to add this week was battle loot!

You’ll be able to obtain new equipment in fights, but that’s not all there is to it. Certain fights in the Crucible will drop special items which will be tied to your squad’s progression. It is our plan to let the players grow their army to pretty large sizes - around 20 characters in the same team.
To support that, you’ll of course be able to recruit new members. You’ll get Sigvard pretty early on, but some other characters will require luck and effort as you’ll have to beat specific enemies to unlock them.

Characters, as well as new items and formations, will be available for purchase for currency you obtain by fighting and winning battles in the Crucible. You can, of course, also sell the unneeded loot for more coin.
Our main goal for June is to get as much new battle content as possible to be playable in the Crucible. This includes new characters, abilities, classes and enemy types - and a few hours worth of actual gameplay!
To that end, we’re also looking into different ways of adding some variety to our human enemies. Here’s the first test of body type variation!
