Current Status and Future Development

Hey everyone!

I’ve just finished up the base of my menu system and I’m now working on the necessary tweaks to make the platforming mechanics feel better. Unfortunately, school started back up last week and I won’t be able to work on this as often, but I’m still going to sit down and work for at least 8 hours a week which should be plenty of time to keep my head on straight for my breaks when I can work on it more often again.

With that being said, I’ve just added a dash to speed up the gameplay a bit since I noticed the end of rounds got a little repetitive with the players having a hard time hitting each other and a speed boost should handle some of that. I also added a powerup which can raise or lower the “cook time” of the bombs which also helps with that same issue since the bombs explode almost immediately when you get down to the minimum.

Next on the list is working a bit more on the wall jumping and regular jumping. Currently, you can just hold the jump button which is fun, but it just doesn’t feel natural. You can also keep jumping forever when you’re on a wall which basically makes you unbeatable so I need to add some sort of cooldown after the player hits the ceiling so this isn’t abused.

For those who are interested, I’ve created about 20 private keys for this current build and I’d be happy to give you one if you reach out!

Thanks as always,
<3 @t0tallyKy1e

Some time ago, we posted a screenshot of the Mexico level. A curiosity about it is that, like some other scenarios of the game, it was inspired by a real landscape, The Basaltic Prisms of Santa María Regla. It is one of the natural wonders of the country!
