Finished implementing the ability for tiles to be moved, which then allowed the creation of the nice bridge swaying effect seen in the posted gif.
Also made two enemies.
The little red ‘a’ spawns every so often at the peripheries of your vision, but is also the weakest inhabitant of purespace, moving only one tile at a time and doing minimal damage.
The green ‘m’ inflicts the ‘Conway’s game of life’ ruleset on the surrounding tiles, warping the terrain. Currently this seems like it may be more of an annoyance than an interesting challenge, though I’m hoping with the introduction of more varied weaponry this will change.
For the next update I’m planning on adding more enemies as well as laying the foundations for an item system.
