Day/Night Atmosphere and Procedural Sun Corona

In line with my recent updates to the water shader, I reworked the atmosphere shader to be lit, leading to visible day/night overall, instead of just the ground. I still need to update the volumetric clouds to be lit too, but one step at a time haha.

I also changed the star corona from a slightly animated sprite to a proper noise driven shader that gives a lot of life and panache to stars:

I’m working on an update to the resource system that will allow player control of object size, mass, resources (iron, water, oxygen, hydrogen, etc.), either manually, or setting a multiplier for the automatic formulas. I’ll also be taking the oportunity to rework the collision manager to allow asteroids to become planets once they’ve gained enough mass. Stay tuned!

Runestones: from concept to in-game model🗿

Hi everyone! I started to create some environment props for my new video game, here is a cozy house in the forest. I'm planning to switch from Unity to Unreal... Let's see what new challenges I have to face. Made in Blender and Substance Painter.

Why walk when you can jump?

Some time ago, we posted a screenshot of the Mexico level. A curiosity about it is that, like some other scenarios of the game, it was inspired by a real landscape, The Basaltic Prisms of Santa María Regla. It is one of the natural wonders of the country!
