Dealing with music part when you're not a musician is really troublesome sometimes ;-;


One of my main concerns while programming the game was: what the heck am I going to do about the music?

Given it’s a narrative / text-based game, I believe music to be one of the main sources on creating a proper ambience around the game story, and I was really upset I couldn’t find any material that would fit the game - it didn’t need to be perfect, but something close enough.

Thing is, I don’t have budget for hiring a real artist, so I had to be content with stock songs that really didn’t give the ambience I wanted for the game. I was almost giving up on the whole idea.

But today was a really good day for this project!

I found this really good artist and their music is exactly what I’ve been looking for. Just bought their pack and I’m ready to work more and more! It was an awesome boost for my confidence and with the perfect ambience, I’ll be able to write even more content.

I hope I can bring y’all a good game!

I've come to realize the game wasn't as beautiful as it should be so I've made some adjustments! It looks much better now!

Live Portrait Maker is a true blessing and I'm really happy I stumbled on it, since I'm not an artist - just a writer trying to make a nice game. So today, meet Clementine and Mary! Designs might change but for now I'm happy.

I've made this edit a long time ago but had no real use for it. Guess it's found its way into the game now! I just love how it fits the whole atmosphere, really.

Small progress but still, better than nothing! I'm really happy with the story I'm working on, and I hope you guys will enjoy it as well. There'll be a lot of secrets and things to find, so better pay good attention to everything when you play!
