The plans to update and combine my two Dustbelief fights have been postponed due to not really caring about those fights anymore. Instead, I've been working on a challenge mode of Deltarune Chapter 1 since late May.
This mode currently plans to do the following:
Buffing enemies in general by increasing their stats, making it take longer to spare them, revamping their bullet patterns to be harder, and adding more encounter varients to the game.
All enemy encounters will be mandatory (minus three encounters if you don't do the quest to fight Jevil). However, enemies won't respawn once you've beat them once.
Overworld hazards in general will be buffed
Replacing the gold chest in the room after the Bake Sale in Scarlet Forest with a chest that gives you the MouseToken. An armor that gives +1 defense and +2 magic when equipped
When you talk to Seam for the Jevil quest, Seam will replace the SpookySword in the shop with the Shade Saber. The Shade Saber can be equipped by Kris and gives +4 attack and increases the number of their attack bars by 1. However, this +4 attack is split across both attack bars, so you need to land both perfectly to get the full benefit of the +4 attack.
Deltarune Chapter 5 is releasing is under a week, and because of that, I'll likely have to take a two-ish month break from working on this. I'll at first be busy with Deltarune Chapter 5 obviously, but even when I'm not longer busy with it, I'll still need to wait until they're finished bug fixing the Deltarune Chapter 5 release to port my code over, which is gonna take a couple months probably.
