Well, it finally happened. In my haste and inexperience with RPG Maker (since I have a confession to make… not only is PinesQuest 2D the first game I’ve ever made in RPG Maker, it’s the first game I’ve ever made period) I completely overlooked an extremely simple way to make objects that can be interacted with behave in the intended way. Turns out all I needed to do was change “Priority: Below Characters” and “Trigger: Player Touch” to “Priority: Same as Characters” and “Trigger: Action Button” in the event window to make it so the player can hit the action button (usually the Z key) to trigger an interaction. That said, this has been addressed and I apologize immensely for making everyone download two versions in one night.
Version 0.2.1 Changelog:
Instead of the annoying automatic trigger, players can now press the action button (Z key) to interact with objects, many of which could not be interacted with before in previous versions.
Also you can now examine the gravestones again if you want.
If you already downloaded version 0.2.0, go ahead and delete it then get the new version. Once again I’m extremely sorry for the inconvenience and I hope you all enjoy the newest update to the PinesQuest 2D demo regardless!
