Hey so I just wanna start with, this is the first /srs dev log I do so don't gimme a lotta crap but do give criticism, thanks :)

Difficulty

Wanna just start with this because imo, one of the most important things, I hope it's less difficult than like Silksong but not too much more difficult than Hollow Knight for example.

So far, I have 3 bosses move sets planned, and there's gonna be a total of about 22 bosses. With half of them being story bosses and the other half possibly being secret bosses.

First boss being simple and the final boss being kind of a mix of all them I'm hoping.

Look at a Boss | Shell

This is Shell and the character I posted recently, Shell is going to hopefully be the fifth boss you fight and is very much inspired by one, Lost Kin or The Broken Vessel from HK but also two, the cordyceps fungus found in Asia, which also inspired the infection in the last of us

Shell is a former guardian of The Other World, until the fungi started invading it's home and it's body, leaving it as a shell of it's former self.

If you like getting up close and personal, you probably may hate this boss, it doesn't want you to get infected with the fungus so it's staying away from you.

Obviously it's just concept art at the moment and Shell's final design will probably look way different.

Story Progress

I'm gonna be real with you, I haven't worked on the story much, I've been busy with school but I am about a quarter of the way done with the story, and hopefully should be done with it in December and getting finalized designs, and development started by January

I will say this, the content warnings I had to put in the desc because GameJolt doesn't add enough stuff for you to warn about, aren't a joke, this game is gonna be slightly dark. Goofs yeah, but still dark, I hope that the story isn't confusing but hey if it is and Game Theory covers it, they'll be eating good.

Length

This is where I don't know how long it'll be when it comes out, but I can confirm this, there is a total of 11 Chapters with Several Acts with B-Side bonus content for secret bosses

Prologue has 2

Chapter 1 has 3

Chapter 2 has 4

Chapter 3 has 5

Chapter 4 has 4

Chapter 5 has 4

Chapter 6 has 3

Chapter 7 has 5

Chapter 8 has 4

Chapter 9 has 4

Chapter 10 has 5

B-Side has 11 as it has that many bosses

So around 54 acts

I'll see if I can find a way to do an Ultrakill or A Hat in Time where you can go back because I don't want this to be a one chance and bam you're done moment.

I'm not saying much but expect a lot of vocaloid or synth-v references or just fun lil references.

I'm not kidding I have a reference to Butcher Vanity for a boss planned.
